In what ways can you, as a new social worker, integrate ongoing learning around cultural competence and cultural humility as a part of your continued growth?

1. In what ways can you, as a new social worker, integrate ongoing learning around cultural competence and cultural humility as a part of your continued growth?2. What do empathy and and cultural humility look like to you in direct practice? What about in mezzo and macro practice? (The second part of this question will be theoretical as I, as an intern, only currently engage in direct practice, not mezzo or macro).3. What other ways, beyond the examples listed, can internalized oppression impact individuals? (Please leave this note I am providing out of the paper: Another source besides the one the questions are coming from will need to be used for this one)4. What are some ways you may have unintentionally participated in discriminatory or exclusive ways?
Note: I am a master’s level social work intern at a Community Mental Health Center, Centerstone (you can research it a little bit online if that will be helpful). Probably 70%-90% of our clients are on Medicaid. Several live below the poverty line and many are homeless. My clients, specifically, have co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder. Please be sure to indicate which question you are answering by stating the question first, then answering it in the paper.
